Job location: hybrid (Warsaw, Cracow, Gdansk, Wroclaw)
We are looking for a Junior DevOps/Big Data Engineer to join our Data & AI Team in Poland. You will be responsible for supporting, monitoring and testing web apps deployed on cloud, as well as maintaining data ingestion pipelines. Our environments leverage Azure, Google Cloud, and Generative AI components, allowing you to work with cutting-edge technologies while delivering services to international clients and business users worldwide.
We are seeking junior ready to take on the following responsibilities:
Main Responsibilities:
- Support applications leveraging Generative AI models.
- Monitor applications through metrics, dashboards, and alerts to ensure optimal performance.
- Investigate and analyse root causes of issues, conducting deep dives as needed.
- Respond promptly to disruptions (autotickets are received through ServiceNOW), ensuring smooth operations and expected outcomes.
- Ensure seamless data delivery from external sources on Azure or Google Cloud platforms, making data accessible to data scientists and analysts using the latest technologies.
- Help to adapt applications to meet evolving customer expectations and incorporate updates from data providers.
- Continuously look for ways to optimize application performance and implement cost-effective solutions.
- Collaborate with diverse international and multicultural teams to deliver data and microservices.
- Extend unit test coverage to improve code reliability.
Requirements:
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to think abstractly.
- Intermediate level in SQL, Python, and database technologies.
- Fluency in both English and Polish.
- Experience with:
- Generative AI models and prompt engineering.
- APIs and CLIs.
- Linux-based environments.
- Code versioning and CI/CD systems.
- Relational and non-relational databases.
- Orchestration and job scheduling tools.
Nice to Have:
- Passion for cloud technologies and a desire to explore new areas independently.
- Broader IT experience beyond data-centric roles.
- Familiarity with:
- Containerization in local and cloud environments.
- Monitoring, observability, and alerting systems.
- Data transfer schemes and protocols.
- Various data file formats.
- Spark and cluster computing.
- Datapipe setup and maintenance.
- Operationalization of applications.
- Regression testing and scope validation.

- Azure: Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, Azure SQL Databases, Data Lake Storage Azure metrics, Azure Machine Learning Studio
- GCP: BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Composer, Dataproc, PubSub, Transfer Service, Google Cloud metrics
- Other: Python, Linux, API, CI/CD, Airflow, Grafana, Crontab, OpenAI and Imagen models, Docker, GitHub, Jira / Confluence
