Job Purpose
The Sales Representative Digital is responsible for driving sales growth by promoting and selling Straumann Digital solutions to dental professionals. This role involves direct interaction with dentists, understanding their clinical needs, and offering tailored digital workflow solutions to enhance patient outcomes. The Sales Rep. Digital actively seeks new business opportunities, maintains strong relationships with existing clients, and ensures customer satisfaction by addressing any queries or concerns promptly. Additionally, the position requires a strategic approach to planning and organizing sales activities, using CRM tools to track progress and collaborating closely with marketing, customer service, and logistics teams to achieve company goals.
The role reports to the Sales Director. Under the direction and supervision of the Sales Director, the position interacts with clients (doctors and/or laboratory technicians and/or public administration) and the sales force to promote Straumann Group’s digital solutions, providing both technical and commercial information, as well as delivering training on Straumann Group Digital products.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- The position is responsible for promoting, selling, training and optimizing Straumann Group digital solutions to external clients with the aim of ensuring the best possible customer experience, encouraging loyalty and leveraging cross/up-selling opportunities for our solutions.
- Additionally, the role will be responsible for ongoing training of sales teams and trainers on Straumann Group digital solutions, in order to increase their knowledge and enable them to communicate the added value to customers.
- Training and support for dentists and dental technicians both on hardware and software related to Straumann Group digital workflows, with particular emphasis on treatment planning and guided surgery using CoDiagnostix software.
- Updating and training clients on additional functions of software connected to Straumann Group digital systems.
- Practical demonstration of the use/functionality of Straumann Group digital products.
- Personal updating on the evolution of digital systems (Straumann and competing companies).
- Participation in conferences, events and training courses, whether organized by Straumann or cooperating companies.
- Keeping the company updated on any commercial needs of clients, recurring technical issues encountered in the field, and suggestions shared by experienced users.
- Where necessary, installation, calibration, maintenance and repair of Straumann digital equipment at dental practices and dental laboratories.
- Maintaining relationships with peers in the Sales Region Europe, with Product Managers at headquarters and with product experts from companies Straumann collaborates with in the digital field, in order to collect and share useful information for clients and the company.
- Onboarding of new hires in the Digital team, with training, support and shadowing for sales specialists, trainers and other roles for digital products and solutions.
- Training and shadowing for specific activities within the sales process in the Digital team, from both a technical and commercial perspective.
- Particular focus on training colleagues in the Codiagnostix system and guided surgery, also at Straumann Group clients or potential clients.
- Internal promotion of Straumann Group digital solutions through continuous training of the sales network to leverage its coverage across the territory and accelerate market adoption.
Requirements needed

Experience
- Degree in Engineering or Diploma
- 3+ years of experience in the dental sector, with particular practical knowledge of CAD design systems, for managing machinery and CAM modules, intraoral digital impression systems, guided surgery software, use and management of 3D printers, radiographic imaging systems in dentistry
- Knowledge of the main intraoral scanning devices (Dentalwings, 3shape) and surgical planning and computer-guided surgery software (Dentalwings, 3Shape, Exocad) or external planning services (Smile in a box)
- Good knowledge of the English language required
