Senior Manager Credit Control Baltics

About the Role

As a Senior Credit Manager Baltics, you will be responsible for managing and developing B2B credit risk activities across the Baltic region. You will ensure effective credit governance, support B2B business growth through sound credit decision-making, and drive continuous improvement of credit processes and portfolio performance.

Responsibilities

Credit Risk Management and Portfolio management

  • Evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing B2B customers by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, payment history, and other relevant information.
  • Make informed credit recommendations and decisions in accordance with company policies and risk.
  • Manage and oversee the Baltic credit portfolio, including monitoring of credit limits, collections, overdue balances, write-offs, and adjustments.
  • Develop and implement effective credit risk mitigation strategies to minimize financial losses and optimize portfolio performance.
  • Ensure adherence to credit policies, procedures, internal controls, and regulatory requirements across the Baltic countries.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with external customers to resolve credit-related matters and maintain positive business relationships.
  • Act as a key contact for credit-related escalations within the Baltic region.

Reporting & Process Improvement

  • Prepare and present regular reports on portfolio performance, credit risk exposure, overdue balances, bad debt development, and other key metrics.
  • Analyze portfolio trends and provide insights to management to support decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, standardization, and automation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Expierence  in credit risk management, credit analysis, finance, or a related discipline, preferably within an international organization.
  • Strong knowledge of credit assessment methodologies and credit decision-making for legal entities.
  • Good understanding of credit policies, risk governance, and collections processes.
  • Experience working with credit portfolios and performance monitoring.
  • Strong process management and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex information in a clear and structured manner management and other stakeholders.
  • Professional proficiency in English. Knowledge of Latvian.
