Job Summary

A Subject Matter Expert (SME) provides specialized knowledge and expertise in a specific field, industry, product, process, or technology. The SME supports teams by offering guidance, solving complex problems, validating information, and ensuring best practices and standards are followed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert knowledge and technical guidance in the assigned subject area.
  • Support project teams with research, analysis, and recommendations.
  • Review processes, documents, and deliverables for accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop training materials, documentation, and knowledge resources.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, managers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities within processes or systems.
  • Assist in decision-making by providing data-driven insights and expertise.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies.
  • Participate in meetings, workshops, and client consultations as the expert representative.
  • Mentor team members and provide knowledge transfer support.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Master’s degree preferred in some industries).
  • Proven experience in the relevant domain or industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with industry-specific tools, software, or methodologies.
