Senior Sales Executive
Job Description
The individual will act as Account Leader at select assigned direct accounts and prospective accounts, as well as support teammates as an Account Team member as required. He/she will also lead Sales efforts at assigned distributors for their responsible segment(s),
Job Qualifications Education • BA/BS required; chemistry/chemical engineering preferred; MBA also preferred Experience/Attribute Requirements • 10+years of business experience including responsibility in a senior-level role; emphasis on new business development in the chemical industry preferred • Knowledge and experience in the Polyurethane and/or Coatings & Resins industry • Experience in commercializing new products and/or technical solutions • Experience in generating business with new products and/or in new markets where customer relationships need to be initiated and developed • Strong Sales project management skills and experience as a team player who can work across functions and levels to deliver results; CRM tool experience and skills preferred • Extensive industry contacts/network/knowledge • Demonstrated experience directly managing teams and achieving aggressive Sales results • Experience with developing long-term strategic business solutions with customers • Highly goal-oriented and committed to delivering against challenging goals • Open, outgoing and engaging personality (characterized by charisma, positive energy, personal relationships, creativity and curiosity); ability to influence others without formal authority • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently • Advanced interpersonal skills; tactfully challenge status-quo, improve processes and drive results • Strong communication (oral and written) skills with customers and across multiple functions • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills; ability to extract information and establish strong relationships (internal & external) • Advanced in influencing and negotiations • Partnership development, including skilled negotiation capabilities • Good commercial problem-solving skills • Excellent business acumen • Strong customer-orientation, yet effective at balancing internal and external priorities • Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills
