Job Role: Video Editor
Compensation range: $1,500 - $2,000 AUD Monthly
Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 6/7AM - 3/4:00 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.

Our client is a fast-growing, performance-driven digital marketing agency that specializes in helping home improvement, roofing, and service-based businesses scale rapidly through high-impact advertising systems. Their core focus is on generating high-quality leads through platforms like Facebook, Google, YouTube, and SEO, using proven strategies designed to deliver measurable ROI. We create Facebook ad's for roofers and home improvement companies in the USA.
Role Overview:
We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Video Editor who can take ownership of projects from start to finish without the need for constant supervision. This role is ideal for someone who is creative, detail-oriented, and comfortable leveraging AI tools to enhance efficiency and output quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit high-quality video content for various platforms (social media, marketing, internal use, etc.)
- Collaborate with the team to understand creative direction and project goals
- Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines independently
- Enhance videos using motion graphics, sound design, and color correction
- Utilize AI-powered tools to streamline editing workflows and improve output
- Optimize videos for different platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, etc.)
- Maintain brand consistency across all video content
- Editing AI Avatar videos - adding hooks, stock and client images, captions, music and transitions to create captivating content. Your video's must grab people's attention and hold it for the duration of your video.
- Each week, we require a minimum of 10 new video's created (2 per day).
- Videos must be created using different layouts - videos submitted for approval that are the same layout will not be approved. This role is not suitable for applicants who will submit videos that are repetitive and lack creative thought or strategy.
- Applicants are to manage their time and workflow to ensure you have the work submitted daily. Communication is via our slack channel.
- We will provide access to software and images/videos. The brief for each video is provided in a spreadsheet that is shared with you.
- You must work to an Australian timezone.
- Proven experience as a Video Editor (portfolio required)
- Proficiency in editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, or similar)
- Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual composition
- Experience using AI tools (e.g., for editing, captioning, voiceovers, or automation)
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Reliable internet connection and equipment for remote work

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
