Key Responsibilities
Solution Deployment & Model Enablement
- Support end-to-end deployment and operationalization of AVEVA predictive analytics and asset performance solutions across customer facilities in the Middle East region.
- Provide electrical engineering subject matter expertise during asset onboarding, solution configuration, and model development phases.
- Work closely with analytics, data science, product, and delivery teams to ensure predictive models accurately reflect:
• Asset operating behaviour
• Electrical system design
• Maintenance strategies
• Failure modes
• Operating envelopes and site conditions
- Support asset criticality assessments, use case definition, and identification of high-value monitoring opportunities for:
• HV/MV switchgear
• Transformers
• Motors
• Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
• Electrical rotating equipment
• Distribution systems and substations
- Participate in model validation, alert tuning, calibration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) activities prior to go-live.
- Correlate predictive model outputs with operational and condition monitoring data including:
• Thermographic survey results
• Partial discharge monitoring trends
• Insulation resistance testing results
• Transformer oil analysis
• Power quality measurements
• Historical maintenance and fault records
- Validate model outputs against known equipment behaviour, maintenance history, and operational conditions to improve model accuracy and reliability.
- Provide engineering input to support expansion of predictive monitoring coverage to additional electrical assets and facilities.
Predictive Monitoring, Sustainment & Value Realization
- Monitor and manage predictive anomaly alerts for deployed electrical assets and systems.
- Assess alert severity, validate operational impact, and recommend appropriate prioritization and corrective actions.
- Identify early indicators of:
• Insulation degradation
• Electrical overloading
• Harmonic distortion
• Voltage imbalance
• Partial discharge activity
• Motor winding deterioration
- Recommend proactive maintenance and operational interventions prior to equipment failure or system instability.
- Collaborate with customer maintenance, reliability, operations, inspection, and engineering teams to plan and execute preventive and corrective activities including:
• Infrared scanning
• Insulation resistance testing
• Transformer oil sampling and analysis
• Partial discharge inspections
• Power quality investigations
- Review, validate, and operationalize AI/analytics-driven recommendations generated through deployed AVEVA solutions.
- Support root cause analysis (RCA), electrical reliability improvement initiatives, and continuous optimization of maintenance strategies.
- Ensure predictive models remain aligned with actual operating conditions, maintenance practices, and asset behaviour throughout the sustainment lifecycle.
- Act as the primary technical focal point during sustainment and managed service phases for assigned electrical asset portfolios.
- Support continuous improvement, model refinement, and enhancement of predictive monitoring effectiveness.
- Track and report reliability and value realization KPIs including:
• Transformer trips avoided
• Deferred motor failures
• Reduced electrical downtime
• Energy efficiency improvements
• Reduced maintenance costs
- Participate in governance meetings, technical reviews, workshops, and value realization sessions with customer stakeholders, asset owners, and project management teams.
- Provide operational feedback and engineering recommendations to analytics, product, and delivery teams to improve solution performance, operational adoption, and customer outcomes.
- Support long-term customer adoption, sustainment, and continuous business value realization from deployed predictive analytics solutions.
Conduct periodic visits to customer plants, substations, operational facilities, and industrial sites to support deployment activities, technical assessments, alert validation, reliability reviews, and stakeholder engagement.

Work Experience
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of electrical engineering experience within oil & gas, petrochemical, refining, gas processing, power generation, or industrial environments.
- Hands-on experience with HV/MV electrical systems maintenance, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis.
- Strong technical knowledge of:
• Transformers
• Switchgear
• Motors
• VFDs
• Electrical protection systems
• Power distribution systems
- Experience in condition monitoring, power quality analysis, or predictive maintenance programs.
- Familiarity with electrical reliability standards, insulation testing practices, and thermographic inspection methodologies.
- Experience interpreting real-time operational data from SCADA, PI Historian / OSIsoft, or equivalent industrial systems.
- Familiarity with predictive analytics platforms, industrial AI systems, or digital reliability solutions preferred.
- Experience supporting industrial digital transformation initiatives preferred.
- Middle East or GCC operating environment experience preferred.
Preferred Certifications
- Chartered Electrical Engineer or equivalent professional registration preferred
- Electrical reliability or condition monitoring certifications advantageous
- Thermography or power quality certifications preferred
