Relationship Associate
Fiduciary Trust International is hiring a Relationship Associate to join our Atlanta office which also provides support to our Washington, D.C. team. This is a hybrid role with four days in the office.
The Relationship Associate works with client facing teammates such as Trust Officers, Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, Trust Counsel, Wealth Directors, and a Regional Managing Director in serving the investment and wealth planning needs of our high-net-worth (HNW) clients. Ensuring a seamless and optimal client experience is a critical element of the role which is achieved through effective collaboration with teammates as well as peers and involves independent decision making and prioritization of tasks. The role requires daily interaction with clients including follow-up matters and key deliverables. The position would also support basic administrative needs of the office and work closely with the Regional Managing Director on local team and market initiatives. As experience is gained, the position would take on greater responsibility in all client relationships and facets of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Works closely with teammates serving the needs of HNW family relationships, including, but not limited to account administration, preparing personal balance sheets and wealth projections, preparation of cash flows, fee reviews, and preparation of PowerPoint presentations for client meetings.
Works closely with relationship teammates (particularly the Client Lead) to establish and maintain a seamless and optimal client experience. Acts as a key point of contact for client and other third party advisors who advise the client such as accountants and attorneys.
Reviews daily overdraft report to determine how to remedy income overdrafts. Coordinates with the PM in order to raise cash to cure principal overdrafts.
Initiates wire transfers, discretionary principal payments, currency transactions, bill paying, gifts, and contributions.
Partners with RM to understand client goals (including extended family members and subsequent generations) which may include attendance at client meetings with the RM.
New Account Openings: Analyzes relevant documents to begin KYC process. Reviews account openings with AO to determine proper administration of account, beneficiaries, tax suits, fee analysis, etc.
Assists with meeting and conference room preparation including scheduling, and ensuring a professional client experience for in-office meetings.
Ideal Qualifications
Education & Experience -
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
2-5 years’ experience in financial services with client-facing experience preferred
Trust Administration background and knowledge highly preferred
Desire to grow and advance within the field of trust administration and wealth management
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while balancing the needs of the client
Effective interpersonal skills and relationship building skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle client account information with discretion
Strong oral and written communication skills
Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Basic knowledge of A.I. tools, preferrable
Ability to work in our Atlanta, GA office a minimum of four days per week

Compensation: Franklin Templeton offers employees a competitive and valuable range of total rewards—monetary and non-monetary — designed to support their well-being and recognize their time, talents, and results. We expect the annual salary for this position to range between $71,400 - $84,000 depending on level of relevant experience, plus discretionary bonus.
