Job Description
JOB PURPOSE:
The Certified Trainer is responsible for facilitating training on the production floor. Lead our employee development initiatives through hands-on, audio, and visual training. Assisting production when not managing new hires, cross-training, or re-training.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High School GED or equivalent.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 1 year in Operations for specified department
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications)
- STAR Mentor Training
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and train new hires (maximum of 2) as well as current employees as needed.
- Complete of current re-training as requested by department.
- Choosing appropriate training methods per case (virtual, simulated, mentoring, on the job training, etc.)
- Complete cross training as requested by the department.
- Complete weekly training reports and assessments on trainees.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
- MS Office proficiency
- Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation skill
- Works well under pressure
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to collaborate with all levels of an organization
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work interdepartmentally
