About the Role
The Regional Sales Support role is a high-impact, phone-first role embedded within a geographic region of ACV's Inside Sales organization. You serve as a strategic extension of the Territory Manager (TM) and Vehicle Condition Inspector (VCI) field team — amplifying sell-side volume, reactivating dormant sellers, unlocking stalled inventory, and driving the kind of consistent account coverage that field teams alone cannot sustain. You will own a defined book of seller accounts, operate with a high degree of autonomy, and serve as a critical conduit between dealers, field teammates, and internal partners across Operations Support (OST), Buyer Rep, and the If-Bid team. This role rewards self-starters who are organized, data-driven, and genuinely passionate about helping dealers win on the platform.
What You Will Do
Seller Activation & Account Management
Proactively contact dark and declining sellers to re-engage inventory flow and rebuild a consistent selling cadence on the ACV platform
Vet and onboard new sellers identified through TM referrals, VCI leads, and buyer rep introductions — set expectations, walk through the listing process, and own the follow-up post-sale
Manage unlaunched Condition Report (CR) outreach — contact sellers on CRs idle for 3+ days, drive launches where possible, and remove CRs tied to inventory already sold elsewhere
Call sellers approaching Special Deal tier thresholds to build urgency and share data-driven context; coordinate warm handoffs to TMs for in-person reinforcement
Daily Sales Execution
Leverage the Weekly Sales Directive to break down territory opportunity by dealer and location, arming TMs with data points that sharpen their field visits
Participate in or lead Previous Day Unsold report reviews — assist in closing deals, coach sellers on relaunching at floors closer to market, and activate VCIs in pricing and dealmaking conversations
Provide dealmaking coverage — including evening availability as needed — to keep listings moving on days when field team bandwidth is limited
Drive Guarantee Sale (G-Sale) adoption through demos, pitches, and launch conversations; lead low reserve and remove reserve discussions with sellers who are resistant to cut vehicles loose
Territory Partnership & Field Alignment
Hold weekly structured touchpoints with individual TMs to review unlaunched CRs, previous day unsold activity, the weekly sales directive, and a prioritized list of 5–10 accounts needing attention
Serve as an extension of TM efforts following field visits — reinforce pricing conversations, maintain momentum, and surface dealer objections or escalation needs back to the TM
Identify independent dealers that may warrant seller or sleer status; vet and bubble up those opportunities to the TM and Senior Sales Manager
Educate dealers and OST teammates on how IST, Operations, If-Bid, and Buyer Rep functions interact — reducing friction and aligning expectations
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with the If-Bid team to flag auctions with strong upside potential and help build OST and seller confidence in that channel
Collaborate with Buyer Rep, Major Accounts, and Operations to maintain consistent messaging on shared accounts
Document all dealer interactions accurately and consistently in Salesforce to support regional reporting and pipeline visibility for SSM and RSD leadership
What You Will need:
Required
2+ years of inside sales, automotive wholesale, dealership operations, or closely related experience
Proven ability to build relationships over the phone — consultative, persuasive, and skilled at creating urgency without burning trust
Strong organizational discipline: you track your accounts, follow up consistently, and don't let high-priority contacts go cold
Comfort with data: you can read a sales directive, interpret unsold and unlaunched reports, and translate numbers into dealer-facing talking points
CRM proficiency (Salesforce preferred) and fluency with digital communication and reporting tools
Collaborative mindset — you thrive in a team-of-teams environment and view field alignment as a performance multiplier
Preferred
Hands-on experience with ACV Auctions, Manheim, ADESA, or another wholesale vehicle remarketing platform
Familiarity with ACV products including ACV Pro, Guarantee Sale, Special Deals, and ClearCar
Background supporting or working alongside field sales teams in an inside or hybrid capacity
Experience in automotive F&I, used car management, or dealer-facing customer success
