What will you do as a Senior Hardware Design Engineer?
As a Senior Hardware Design Engineer at TOPIC, you are a key member of our Hardware team and play an important role in complex development projects. You act as a trusted sparring partner for colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders, translating concepts into clear technical direction for the team. You take a leading role in the design of complex hardware systems while effectively prioritizing multiple projects and clients.
Your responsibilities as a Senior Hardware Design Engineer:
Implement a diverse range of innovative solutions across industries, from designing cutting-edge medical IoT devices to developing next-generation high-speed computing platforms and everything in between
Take full ownership of design activities, ensuring the quality, integrity, and timely delivery of solutions
Develop and validate complete hardware subsystems, based on high-level requirements and detailed project specifications
Conduct in-depth analyses and studies, applying proven methodologies to deliver high-quality, effective solutions
Participate in the entire development lifecycle: from system requirement gathering and translating these into hardware architecture, to PCB design & routing, schematic design, testing, and integration
Provide senior-level expertise and guidance, supporting multiple teams within your domain and helping to elevate the overall technical craftsmanship of the organization
Identify risks and opportunities both within and beyond the project scope, ensuring relevant stakeholders are engaged and proactive
You are a sparring partner for junior engineers and your teammates
You have a proven track record in a multidisciplinary team (SW/FW/HW)
Keeping up to date with the latest (high speed) technologies and converging them to the team
