Senior Engineer
Job Description
We design and build VPX-style embedded computing cards for high reliability control systems. We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with relevant board design experience to perform the mixed-signal design of our embedded products from concept through production. The successful candidate has a strong track record of solving technical challenges across schematic capture, PCB Layout, signal integrity, and manufacturing transition. This is a senior individual-contributor role for an engineer who can independently own designs, provide thorough feedback during reviews and partner with mechanical engineering and internal program teams.
Salary Information: $95,000 - $125,000

Your Challenge
Perform Circuit Card Assembly design specifying mixed-signal technology circuits consisting of processors, I/O communications, and programmable logic devices (FPGA, CPLD)
Design and develop automated test fixtures to support system level testing
Ability to debug and successfully resolve hardware/firmware issues in new and existing products
Provide PWA input for views and part lists for design and development (D&D)
Create specification & source control drawings (SCD)
Write detailed customer reports and technical deliverables
Transition designs to manufacturing by providing complete design packages that enable production build
What You Bring
BS in Electrical Engineering (or similar) required, with 5+ years of relevant experience in circuit board design
US Citizen and must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance
Experience designing digital and mixed-signal circuits for embedded system in high-reliability environments.
Proficiency with design software for schematic capture, PWB layout and routing.
Hands-on experience interfacing DSP, FPGA, Flash and RAM with a solid understanding of communication protocols.
Nice to have
Experience with MIL-DTL-23200 requirements
Experience with writing VHDL code, simulation, debugging capability and FPGA design for high assurance products
Experience with the Agile Development Process and the Atlassian Tool Suite
Experience with ANSI/VITA VPX Standards related to Circuit Card and Backplane Design
