Job Description

The Software Engineer – SSD System Test is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining system-level test solutions to support High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) across multiple factory sites. This role focuses on ensuring product quality, improving manufacturing yield, enhancing test coverage, and reducing overall test time through data-driven analysis and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain SSD system test software for manufacturing and validation environments.
  • Release and support test solutions deployed in high-volume factory production lines.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Firmware, Hardware, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations) to debug issues, conduct failure analysis, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collect, analyze, and monitor factory test data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Drive yield improvement, test coverage enhancement, and test time reduction through automation, optimization, and analytics.
  • Support bring-up and ramp-up activities for new products and manufacturing sites.
  • Document test designs, processes, and best practices to ensure maintainability and scalability.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong programming skills in C++ and Python, with solid experience in Linux-based development environments.
  • Understanding of storage technologies such as DRAM, NAND, and SSD architectures is highly preferred.
  • Experience with system testing, manufacturing test, or data analysis in a hardware or semiconductor environment is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and global teams.
  • Fluency in English, with good written and verbal communication skills

Working Conditions: This position is an office-based role located in Shanghai, China, with regular working hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. The role requires close collaboration with local and global teams, including interactions with manufacturing sites.
