Job Description
The AI Enablement Consultant enables Enterprise Transformation Consultants to apply AI and GenAI to solve complex enterprise problems and deliver measurable business outcomes. This role strengthens the consulting capability of the HIH Enterprise Consulting team by helping consultants identify high-value AI use cases, assess opportunity size, define success measures, and translate insights into practical recommendations that improve productivity, decision quality, capacity planning, flow, value delivery, and operating model effectiveness.
Job Overview:
The role focuses on translating AI/GenAI concepts into repeatable consulting methods, assessments, and enablement assets that consultants can use with leaders, teams, and product groups. The Ai Enablement Consultant is not expected to be the primary AI engineer or tool trainer; instead, this role helps Enterprise Consultants apply AI as a structured problem-solving, decision-support, and value-realization capability within enterprise transformation work.
The AI Enablement Consultant is responsible for building AI fluency and practical AI-enabled consulting capability across the Enterprise Transformation Consultant group. This includes enabling consultants to identify AI-relevant business problems, frame hypotheses, assess workflow and productivity opportunities, interpret AI-enabled insights, and convert those insights into clear recommendations, adoption plans, and measurable outcomes.
This role supports the evolution of the Enterprise Consulting model by strengthening AI-informed enterprise consulting practices, while maintaining a working understanding of product delivery, organizational change, and modern ways of working as context (not the primary emphasis)
Responsibilities:
Enable Enterprise Transformation Consultants to apply AI/GenAI concepts in enterprise consulting and transformation engagements
Identify and prioritize AI opportunities by mapping business problems to use cases, value hypotheses, and feasibility considerations
Help consultants assess where AI can improve productivity, decision velocity, capacity utilization, flow, quality, and value delivery
Build practical AI consulting playbooks, prompts, use-case patterns, workshop guides, and reusable enablement assets
Support problem framing, hypothesis development, success measures, and adoption planning for AI-enabled change
Enable responsible AI practices by helping consultants understand AI/GenAI fundamentals, limitations, risks, privacy, and governance considerations
Partner with Enterprise Consultants to integrate AI-enabled insights into assessments, growth plans, operating model recommendations, and transformation roadmaps
Define and socialize practical metrics for AI adoption and impact (e.g., cycle time reduction, throughput, quality, customer value, and productivity outcomes)
Support internal learning forums, communities of practice, and capability-building sessions focused on AI-enabled consulting
Help create a consistent consulting language for AI-enabled transformation across HIH Consulting engagements
Role Exclusions:
Act as a dedicated data scientist, ML engineer, or AI platform owner
Build production AI/ML models as the primary responsibility
Serve as a generic AI tools trainer
Replace Enterprise Transformation Consultants in their consulting engagements
Own day-to-day team delivery, backlog management, or ceremony facilitation
Operate as a PMO, reporting analyst, or tooling administrator
Qualifications:
Education:
Degree in technology, data, analytics, engineering, or business-related area
Experience:
11-13 years of experience
Experience in enterprise consulting, transformation enablement, product delivery, or organizational change
Practical exposure to AI/GenAI concepts, analytics, machine learning fundamentals, and AI-enabled productivity tools
Experience identifying and shaping AI use cases (problem framing, value hypothesis, feasibility, success measures, and adoption planning)
Experience translating complex technical concepts into simple, usable guidance for non-technical stakeholders
Ability to connect AI-enabled opportunities to business outcomes, operating model changes, and measurable impact
Skills:
Strong understanding of enterprise consulting methods, stakeholder management, and organizational change
Working knowledge of AI/ML and GenAI concepts, including opportunities, limitations, and responsible use considerations
Ability to guide problem framing, hypothesis development, workflow analysis, and outcome measurement for AI-enabled initiatives
Ability to translate AI concepts into practical consulting artifacts (use-case definitions, decision frameworks, adoption plans, and executive-ready narratives)
Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical audiences
Ability to influence without authority and build capability across peer groups
Comfort working in ambiguity and shaping new practices where playbooks may not yet exist
Preferred Skills:
AI, data analytics, prompt engineering, GenAI, or responsible AI learning/certification
Experience supporting AI adoption at enterprise scale (change enablement, operating model impacts, governance, or value tracking)
Experience creating reusable playbooks, training content, consulting assets, or enablement frameworks
Agile, product, Lean, SAFe, or change management certification (helpful, not required)
