Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire an Sr Principal Configuration Analyst (A-04 Level) to join its team. This position is located in Roy, Utah or Huntsville, Alabama and will support the Sentinel program.

What You Get To Do:
A Configuration Management (CM) specialist focusing on Functional Configuration Audits (FCA) and Physical Configuration Audits (PCA) ensures that complex hardware and software systems accurately match their approved technical baselines.
Manage change control, identify data discrepancies, and ensure the product is ready for production
Verify that a product’s design and actual performance meet the requirements specified in its functional and allocated baselines (e.g., verifying test results).
Examine the physical configuration of the product to ensure it corresponds exactly to the final "build-to" (or "code-to") product baseline documentation, technical data packages, and Bills of Materials (BOM)
Transition products from "as-designed" baselines to "as-built" and "as-delivered" states
Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or non-compliances in configuration data and track them through resolution
Ensure all deliverables adhere to contract requirements, software licensing, and export compliance standards
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform Physical Configuration Audit (PCA)
Ensures that product design provides agreed-to performance capabilities
Validate integrity of product configuration information
Verify consistency between a product and its product configuration information
Determine that adequate processes are in place to provide continuing control of the configuration
Provide confidence that product definition information is under configuration control
Perform Functional Configuration Audit (FCA)
Validate V&V Data: Review system and software verification and validation (V&V) data
Confirm Requirements: Verify that all functional and non-functional requirements have passed their test procedures
Review Documentation: Ensure user manuals, operational documents, and support materials are complete
Approve Maturity: Demonstrate that the system is ready for transition into beta testing or production
Basic Qualifications:
8 Years experience with a bachelor's degree, 6 years with a Master's degree or 4 year with PhD. An additional 4 Years of direct Configuration Management or Data Management experience can be considered ‘in lieu’ of a degree
Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years with no impediments to receiving a Top Secret Clearance
Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
Demonstrate expert technical knowledge over CDM practice and SOW areas
Led a configuration & verification audit team and managed the SOW
Facilitate Supplier Surveillance Reviews, Functional Configuration Audits & Physical Configuration Audits for hardware and software
Support internal program CDM audits against program SOW & Functional PRoP
Solid written and verbal skills to effectively interact with Government counterparts, other defense contractor organizations, and other cross-functional organizations
Preferred Qualifications
Active TS/SCI security clearance
Knowledge of EIA-649 or MIL-HDBK-61B
Experience administering configuration and data management release cycles for drawings, models and configured documents and administer changes using Siemens Teamcenter, NX, ROSE Tool, Jira, SharePoint, Cameo, DOORS, DMDS
Examines engineering drawings and related documents for soundness, completeness and conformity to standards, and specifications
Experience with coordinating/creating configured software builds for test and delivery
Familiarity with DoD program lifecycles. Including planning and navigation of major milestones/events, development of technical baselines, and configuration audits
Experience or knowledge of maintaining a Bill of Material (BOM) between PLM and ERP systems
Knowledge of product baselines and configuration status accounting
Excellent organizational skills to include the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $101,400.00 - $152,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
