What this Journey Looks Like
At Pearster, we're looking for a FinOps Specialist (or FinOps Practitioner), a cross-functional professional responsible for enabling financial accountability and optimising technology spend, particularly in cloud environments, by bridging finance, engineering, and business teams.
The role focuses on driving transparency, governance, and continuous optimisation of technology costs, ensuring that spending aligns with business value and growth objectives.
What You'll Lead and Build
Cost Visibility & Transparency: Establish accurate, real-time visibility into technology usage and spend, enabling informed decision-making
Financial Governance & Forecasting: Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for technology investments, ensuring predictability and accountability
Cost Optimisation: Continuously identify and implement opportunities to eliminate waste and improve efficiency across cloud and technology services
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a bridge between engineering, finance, and business teams to embed cost-aware decision-making into delivery processes
Reporting & Insights: Translate usage and billing data into actionable insights that influence architectural, operational, and investment decisions
Culture & Enablement: Drive a “cost ownership” culture by promoting FinOps best practices, education, and accountability across teams
What You Bring to the Table
3+ years of experience in FinOps, Cloud Cost Management, or IT Financial Management
Experience optimizing cloud costs across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments
Strong knowledge of cloud billing, budgeting, forecasting, and cost allocation
Hands-on experience with FinOps and cloud cost management tools
Strong analytical skills with experience creating reports, dashboards, and actionable insights
Ability to collaborate with technical and business teams in Agile environments
Advanced English communication skills
FinOps or cloud certifications are a plus
