Job Description:
Position Overview:
Operate back end production equipment, including spray machines, IBO ovens, neckers, palletizers, strappers, forklifts, and related machinery, while maintaining required quality and production standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety guidelines, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements at all times.
- Safely operate and monitor assigned equipment to maintain required production quality and output, including starting and stopping equipment as needed.
- Make minor equipment adjustments to ensure standard production quantity and quality.
- Report product irregularities from other production areas (e.g., Front End, Washer, Printers) to the Shift Supervisor, Back End Mechanics, and Quality Control as needed.
- Assist Back End Mechanics with repairs and maintenance as required.
- Complete assigned daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance (PMs), quality checks, and housekeeping tasks.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area and assigned equipment.
- The duties listed represent the primary functions of the role; additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. Job responsibilities may change or expand as business needs require.
Minimum Requirements
- General mechanical knowledge
- Forklift Operating Experience
- Experience and proficiency using hand tools
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, travel up or down stairs, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- The associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus
Working Conditions
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic
- The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures
- The noise level is frequently loud
