
Operations Data Analyst
Job Description

The Department of Parks & Recreation (DPR), Athletic and Facility Services Division (AFS) is seeking an experienced Operations Data Analyst to be responsible for tracking, reconciling, and reporting on county-wide facility usage. This Analyst will also develop dashboards, data reports, and cost recovery summaries collected from various facilities and programs to support informed decisions, improve operational efficiency, and enhance financial transparency and accountability.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing centralized administrative, financial, and analytical support for AFS Division, including managing high-volume programs and facilities’ data across diverse systems;
- Ensuring compliance, and audit readiness of registration, fee reduction, usage, and financial data, while resolving discrepancies across systems;
- Creating and maintaining spreadsheets, reports, and dashboards to track, reconcile, and analyze financial and operational activity;
- Conducting research and analysis on program participation, facility utilization, customer service trends, and providing statistical reports to help inform operational and strategic decisions;
Maintaining and improving administrative procedures, workflows, data standards, internal service tracking to support policy compliance with the AFS Division;
Providing internal and external customer service support, coordinating with DPR divisions, and supporting ongoing training and use of complex operational systems; and
Performing other job-related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, data analytics, or related field; and
- Some experience in operations management, including financial, data, and budgetary support.
Substitution: Additional qualifying experience can be substituted for the education requirement. A Master's degree or higher may substitute for some of the experience requirement.
Desirable: Preference may be given to applicants with experience in one or more of the following:
- Proficiency with registration systems (e.g. RecTrac), Excel, or Power BI; and
- High volume data analysis and management, financial tracking, and/or audit compliance.

Additional Information
Work hours: Monday through Friday, between 8:00am - 5:00pm, with teleworking opportunities. Occasional evenings or weekends may be required. Schedule is subject to change with or without notice.
