Job Description

  • Maintain the safety and accountability of children
  • Model appropriate behavior at all times (including goofiness and abundant laughter)
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate, crazy fun and engaging activities (because you can!!)
  • Provide ideas & suggestions to the Center Supervisor (because they think they've seen it all. Psst - They haven't!)

This school year position is 30 hours/week, afternoons, Monday-Friday, 12:00-6 or 6:00 pm. The starting pay is $20.35-23.09/hour depending on relevant education and/or experience. Paid leave, health insurance, retirement.

Experience with preschool-age children required!

General Responsibilities:
Provides childcare and developmental activities for children before and/or after school, assisting and motivating children to achieve maximum potential. Must be an energetic, resourceful, and  creative planner who can multitask with ease.

Education and Experience:

  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school
  • CPR and basic first aid certifications

Physical Requirements:

  • Medium work requiring the exertion of up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
  • Work requires stooping, reaching, standing, and walking
  • Vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word, and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly, or quickly; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing written or computer data, operation of machines, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities
  • The worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions
  • The worker is subject to noise and may be exposed to bloodborne pathogens and may be required to wear specialized personal protective equipment
