Job Posting – Food Service Sales Representative

Reports To: Sales Navigator

Position Type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: Central Saanich, BC

Hours: 37.5 hours weekly, Mon – Fri

Base Salary: $70,000/Annum

Commission Structure: 1.5% of the year-over-year increase in net revenue on assigned accounts (see below for full details)

Job Overview

This position will be the primary contact for the Level Ground group of brands for Food Service and Wholesale accounts.

Core Responsibilities

Outside Sales

  • Identify new business opportunities through prospecting, referrals, and research

  • Distribute sell sheets, samples, pricing information, and equipment training materials

  • Balance in-field time with administrative work including follow-ups, proposals, and reporting

  • Confirm and improve brand presence at the account level

RFP & Institutional Sales

  • Lead the RFP process for offices, institutions, and large food service customers in collaboration with the Sales Navigator

  • Coordinate internally to gather pricing, product specs, certifications, and operational requirements

Food Service & Account Management

  • Act as the main contact for food service leads

  • Manage account requests and pricing inquiries within approved margins

  • Provide price quotes for potential clients

  • Develop service agreements

  • Execute a strategy to grow market share within coffee shops, offices, and institutional accounts

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships through regular calls, site visits, and ongoing support

  • Implement and support promotional programs at the account level where applicable

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate fulfillment, pricing, and service levels

Role Expectations

To ensure clarity and confidence in the role, this position includes the following expectations:

  • Work scheduled hours as agreed upon, with flexibility as needed to support account demands

  • Participate in twice-monthly check-in meetings with the Sales Navigator to review goals and progress

  • Operate within pre-determined pricing and margin guidelines provided by the Sales Navigator

  • Maintain accurate records of account activity, opportunities, and follow-ups through our CRM

  • Represent the Level Ground group of brands professionally and consistently in all customer interactions

Role Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in sales, customer service, account management, or hospitality-related roles

  • Strong communication skills, including phone, email, and in-person conversations

  • Experience using CRM tools to track sales activity and pipelines

  • Experience in business development and prospecting for new clients

  • Experience interacting directly with customers in a professional setting, including in-person visits

  • Ability to follow established sales strategies while building confidence and independence over time

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to food-service tradeshows

  • Contract management experience would be an asset.

Role Assets

  • Exposure to food service, coffee, hospitality, retail, or CPG environments

  • Ability to manage your own schedule based on KPI performance

  • Experience writing and responding to RFPs

Commission

Commission will be calculated at 1.5% of the year-over-year increase in net revenue on assigned account

In the Food Service Channel. Commission payments will be issued after completion and finalization of

the fiscal year financial statements.

Reporting & Working Groups

This position works collaboratively with the Sales/Marketing team, reporting to the Sales Navigator
