Fire Assayer
Job Description
SGS are seeking a causal Fire Assayer to join the team in Perth.
Duties include, however are not limited to:
- Responsible for weighing, fluxing, firing, knocking up and cupellation of samples in correct numerical order.
- These tasks to be carried out following established QC procedures and avoiding contamination.
- Responsible for managing the recycling and disposal operations for pots, slag and cupels and other waste.
- To make sure all relevant paperwork and electronic records are filled out correctly.
- To perform other tasks as needed, including weighing samples and sample prep.
- Must use appropriate personal protective equipment in the correct manner and work to minimise creation of lead dust.
To be successful you will have a:
- Driving licence
- First aid certificate
- Previous laboratory experience

- Forklift licence (desirable)
