Senior Accountant - Import/Export Specialist (all genders)

We are strengthening our Finance Team at our Cusago (Milano) location and are looking for a   

Senior Accountant - Import/Export Specialist (all genders).

In this function you take over the international trade operations, including EU and non‑EU transactions, VAT regulations, and customs procedures.The position plays a key role in ensuring compliance and accuracy across international accounting and trade processes while supporting business growth in a global environment.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage all accounting activities related to import/export transactions
• Ensure proper VAT treatment for Intra-EU transactions, Extra-EU transactions,Triangular and multi-party transactions
  
• Record and monitor sales invoices in Navision ERP
• Support and coordinate the monthly financial reporting process
• Prepare and submit Intrastat declarations
• Perform monthly VAT calculations and support quarterly and annual VAT returns
• Ensure compliance with customs documentation and regulations
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Procurement, Logistics, Sales, Administration
• Monitor international shipments and logistics flows from a financial perspective
• Support commercial activities involving international clients

 

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of experience, or alternatively 10 years of relevant professional experience
• Strong knowledge of International VAT regulations, Customs procedures, Trade compliance
• Proficiency in ERP systems (ideally Navision) and MS Office
• Fluency in English and Italian
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• High level of accountability and ownership
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and international environment
