Job Description

As a Marketing Coordinator at Olsson, you will partner closely with technical teams to develop marketing strategies and coordinate the production of impactful materials. This role supports our Data Centers, Telecom, Energy, and Industrial markets.

This role facilitates the go/no-go decision process, prepares proposal and interview materials, and leads project-specific strategy and kick-off meetings. It also develops and manages the pursuit and proposal process to drive continuous improvement. Additional responsibilities include planning, producing, and coordinating a variety of marketing support activities, such as market research, lead identification, technical writing review, support for conferences and client events, and maintaining the marketing database. Success in this role requires the ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute the development of information and materials for various marketing activities, such as Statements of Qualifications (SOQs), proposals, and interview presentations, in accordance with the firm’s standards.
  • Establish, communicate, and meet deadlines to ensure the timely completion of project pursuits.
  • Conduct internal QA/QC reviews to maintain a high level of quality and accuracy in all marketing information, analysis, and documentation.
  • Gather, maintain, and analyze client intelligence information.
  • Possess the ability to prepare and submit industry awards.

  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Ability to contribute and work well on a team
  • A minimum of three years of related A/E industry experience.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Writing/Journalism, or a related major.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products and Adobe InDesign.
  • Previous experience with Deltek VantagePoint preferred, but not required
  • Strong communication skills.
  • The ability to contribute and work well on a team.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks with strict deadlines.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • The ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams locally and in other offices within the Olsson footprint.
  • The ability to develop and foster effective professional relationships both internally and externally.
  • Skills in technical writing, editing, creativity, and a keen sense of design style.
