We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll and HR services support across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll operations. The successful candidate will work within the shared services model managing payroll cycles, incentive scheme support and reporting within the local regulatory requirements.

This is an ideal role for a payroll specialist who wants to expand their career within a multinational and drive process improvements to service efficiency and employee experience.

Key Duties:

  • Lead and manage end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and statutory compliance
  • Manage payroll cycles, including cut-offs, processing, and reporting
  • Administer payroll processing, including regular pay, incentives, and year-end reporting (e.g., EOFY, Single Touch Payroll readiness)
  • Calculate and process incentive and Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) payouts, and prepare and distribute letters
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., Fair Work Act AU, Employment Relations Act NZ, and applicable awards).
  • Proactively monitor regulatory changes, integrating updates into payroll and HR processes as needed.
  • Support periodic reporting and data requests from internal stakeholders (e.g., Finance, HR, Audit), ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Contribute to Human Resource Support (HRS) SLA achievement through daily operations
  • Drive process improvements and leverage digital tools to enhance efficiency and quality
  • Escalate out-of-scope or complex cases appropriately

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a payroll specialist within manufacturing (any industry) preferably under a shared service function.
  • Strong understanding of the Australian and New Zealand legislative framework
  • Strong data management and reporting skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy; proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations (e.g., taxation, superannuation, and statutory reporting requirements)
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Finance or related industry.
