SUMMARY
The Operations Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing laboratory operations, ensuring the accurate and timely analysis of fuel samples (petroleum and biofuels) according to client specifications and standard testing methods. This role involves coordinating communication between clients, chemists, and internal teams to ensure smooth workflow, timely issue resolution, and precise reporting. Additionally, the Operations Coordinator is responsible for maintaining laboratory databases, updating client portals, and ensuring full compliance with operational procedures. Due to the 24/7 nature of laboratory operations, this position requires some shift work and on-call duties.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on ongoing operations.
- Coordinate and prepare analysis instructions for chemists, ensuring all necessary details are conveyed before testing begins.
- Work closely with chemists, lab managers, and supervisors to monitor operations, resolve issues, and keep clients informed of any changes.
- Provide expert consultation on standard test methods and quality calculations upon client request.
- Obtain client approval for any modifications to testing methods and prepare confirmations accordingly.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of analysis reports, making necessary corrections before submission.
- Manage invoicing and ensure timely submission of documents, including export documentation.
- Maintain and update laboratory databases and client portals such as BP GCAS and Navarik.
- Sign off on final laboratory reports, ensuring results are approved before submission to clients.
- Participate in the general operation of the laboratory, contributing to continuous improvement and efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS
- School-leaving certificate required; university-level education preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in Operations.
- Proficiency in spoken Turkish and English.
- Possession of a valid B Driver’s License.
- Competence in routine analytical procedures and the ability to perform Operational tasks independently.
- Experience in fuel analysis is highly advantageous.
- Flexibility to work shifts and be on call, including one evening shift per week and one weekend every six weeks.
