In order to support the Technical Data Management Team, Airbus is looking for a Senior Business Analyst - Physical Design (d/f/m).
As a Senior Business Analyst - Physical Design, you will be responsible for defining and evolving the functional architecture of our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems in the Physical Design perimeter. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our PLM solutions effectively support business processes across engineering, manufacturing, and services, driving innovation and efficiency within our product development lifecycle.

Your tasks and responsibilities
Define and maintain the functional architecture roadmap for the Physical Design landscape, aligning with Airbus NoP (Network of Platform).
Translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable functional designs for PLM applications and integrations.
Lead workshops and collaborate with stakeholders from Engineering, Quality, and IT to gather and refine requirements.
Establish and enforce functional architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices across PLM initiatives.
Research and recommend new PLM technologies and methodologies to enhance product development capabilities.
Provide functional leadership to development teams and mentor junior team members.
Analyze the impact of architectural decisions on existing systems and propose risk mitigation strategies.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, data models, and integration interfaces.
Desired skills and qualifications
Deep expertise in aircraft development processes, coupled with proven proficiency in utilizing relevant Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) IT tools.
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Extensive experience (minimum 8-10 years) in PLM systems (e.g., Dassault PLM, Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill) and core modules like CAD/TDM and BOM management.
Proven track record of implementing complex PLM solutions in large-scale enterprise environments, preferably in aerospace or automotive.
Deep understanding of PLM data models, business processes, requirements engineering, and functional design methodologies.
Familiarity with integration technologies (APIs, ETL) and industry standards (STEP, JT, OSLC).
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders in international teams.
Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required; German is an advantage.
