Job Description

As a Fidelity and Crime Underwriter K&R Underwriter you will be required to evaluate new and renewal policy applications and supporting documentation to classify and assess risks, communicate and build relationships with brokers and clients as wel las internally within the team and other divisions

You will be responsible for underwriting and documentation according to grants of authority and departmental underwriting guidelines

Fidelity and Crime is part of the Hartford Professional team

What you’ll be doing What will your essential responsibilities include

Be a contributing member of a collaborative, profit driven underwriting team Learn and understand market trends and profit drivers to maximize results Maintain knowledge of current global affairs including regional and key country trends

Continually develop and leverage your market knowledge to win business Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and brokers Conduct research and analysis of new and renewal business Manage a book of business profitably within a collaborative environment Develop strategies and recommendations for your individual accounts Conduct client and broker meetings to obtain underwriting information and share the team’s capabilities

Marketing and new business production Use negotiating skills to create best possible outcomes for the Fidelity and Crime program Develop and maintain an understanding of all of our products as wellas how they are impacted by current events globally Travel up to 15%

What you will BRING We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to perform Outstanding collaborative skills in a fast-paced team-centric environment

Business development skills 

Outstanding interpersonal, presentation, written and verbal communication skills

The ability to demonstrate critical thinking, decision making, and problem-solving skills

The ability to travel a minimum of 15% of the time is anticipated

A bachelor’s degree is required

Applicants for this role must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

The U.S. base salary range for this position is USD USD $71,000 - $138,200

Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual’s skills, experience and location
