If you're looking for an exciting job where you’ll work undercover, this opportunity is for you! As a Loss Prevention Officer, you will play a key role in preventing shoplifting, fraud, vandalism, and other offenses.

Garda has both part-time and full-time positions available. The hours of work, while varied, will require evening and weekend availability.

What does a Floor Detective do?

• Patrol the sales floor to monitor customers who may attempt shoplifting, fraud, vandalism, or other offenses
• Monitor and detect to ensure all merchandise leaving the store has been paid for

• Complete loss prevention audits

• Intervene and apprehend customers attempting to leave the store with unpaid merchandise
• Conduct arrests
• Write daily and incident reports with rigor and professionalism
• Testify in court when required

What we’re looking for:

• Valid Security Guard License
• Minimum 1 year loss prevention experience 

• Availability for part-time daytime and evening shifts
• Good judgment and autonomy
• Strong observation skills and sense of responsibility
• Ability to react quickly in emergency situations
• Having a car is considered a strong asset
