Afternoon Primary Coordinator – Primary School
The Island Private School of Limassol, Cyprus
Academic Year: 2025–2026
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 13:00–18:00


The Island Private School of Limassol is seeking a dedicated and responsible Afternoon Primary Coordinator to join our Primary School team for the 2025–2026 academic year.

As our school continues to grow and plan for an innovative new campus on a stunning 50,000 m² site, this is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic, international environment and contribute to a community dedicated to holistic, high-quality education.


Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead and supervise the Primary Afternoon Team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Conduct weekly team meetings to review progress, address challenges, and plan activities.
  • Provide regular feedback and support to team members, ensuring they can perform their roles effectively.
  • Identify training needs and opportunities for team development.

Student Wellbeing and Behavior Management

  • Monitor and oversee student behavior to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
  • Address behavior issues promptly and in accordance with the school’s Behavior Policy, promoting respect and inclusivity.
  • Act as a role model, encouraging positive interactions and engagement among students.

Programme Operations

  • Ensure the smooth running of the Afternoon Programme, including adherence to schedules and activity plans.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Extracurricular Programmes to contribute into development and implementation of engaging activities for students.
  • Maintain accurate records related to attendance, incidents, and feedback as required.
  • Be responsible for late release of the students after 18.00 making sure parents are informed that they are late for pick up. 
  • Cover absent afternoon facilitators and/or organize covers for the absent afternoon facilitators and teachers. 

Health and Safety

  • Ensure all activities comply with school policies and safety standards.
  • Respond to emergencies and manage incidents effectively, following established procedures. 

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children in educational or recreational settings (e.g. after-school programs, camps, enrichment activities).

  • At least intermediate English proficiency; additional languages are a plus.

  • International mindset and comfort in a multicultural environment.

  • Compassionate, attentive, and supportive in facilitating children's learning and development.

  • EU citizens or candidates with a valid Cyprus Yellow Slip (right to work in Cyprus) are welcome to apply.

Recruitment Process

  1. Online Interview with the Head of Extracurricular Program and the Employee Success Manager (approx. 15 minutes).

  2. Trial Hour On-Site (60–90 minutes).

  3. Final Interview with the Principal of the Primary School (approx. 15 minutes).
