Medical Scientific Affairs Specialist (Jr.)

Job objective:

• Supports Global Medical Scientific Affairs Aesculap AG Tuttlingen and Berlin Vascular Systems division with updating of clinical evaluation reports and in clinical studies.

 

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Writing and updating of clinical evaluation reports
• Contribution to the preparation of relevant clinical and scientific documentation within the framework of (international) regulatory approval procedures
• Support in conducting clinical studies​
• Submission of Serious Adverse Events and Device Deficiencies to competent authorities and ethical committees​
• Conducting associated activities such as review of information materials regarding clinical matters
• Regular travel to B. Braun Germany (1- 2 / year) 

 

Professional competencies / Ideal candidate:

• Higher education in the fields of Medical Engineering, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, Materials Science, Medicine or related fields.
• 1-2 years professional experience; Ideally, experience with medical devices, especially in interventional cardiovascular systems and in the fields of orthopedics and spinal surgery.
• Professional experience in conducting clinical evaluations and/or clinical studies, as well as in a scientific environment is an advantage
• A passion for scientific work completes the profile.
• Strong analytical thinking and a structured approach to problem-solving.
• Drive innovation and change, and value new methods and ways of thinking.
• Impress with a positive demeanor and communicate openly and directly.
• A customer-oriented approach, able to find joint solutions, and build sustainable and collaborative networks.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• English - advanced, written and spoken; additional foreign language skills are an advantage.
