Job Summary
The Procurement & Contracts Specialist is responsible for managing procurement activities, supplier coordination, and contract administration to support aerospace propulsion development and manufacturing programs. The role involves sourcing technical materials and services, negotiating commercial terms, and ensuring timely delivery in compliance with company and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement of:
- Aerospace engine components
- Precision machined parts
- Tooling, raw materials, and engineering services
- Prepare and manage RFQs, purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements
- Coordinate with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and program teams on technical procurement requirements
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and delivery schedules
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery status, and procurement risks
- Support supplier qualification and compliance activities
- Maintain procurement records and reporting within ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Ensure compliance with company policies, export control, and aerospace quality standards
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
- 5–8 years of procurement or contracts experience in:
- Aerospace
- Defense
- Aviation
- Advanced manufacturing industries
- Experience working in engineering-driven environments preferred
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of procurement and contract management
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing and technical documentation
- Good commercial negotiation and supplier management skills
- Strong MS Excel and reporting capability
