About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Regional Operations Manager to lead and drive performance across multiple stores in Tasmania.
In this critical leadership role, you’ll be responsible for delivering strong commercial results, operational excellence, and an exceptional customer experience, while coaching and developing Store Managers to build high-performing teams.
You’ll play a key role in translating strategy into execution, ensuring consistent standards across all locations and fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Be Doing
✅ Commercial & Financial Performance
- Deliver regional sales, margin and profitability targets
- Drive labour efficiency, cost control, and inventory discipline
- Analyse performance trends and implement improvement strategies
✅ Leadership & Talent Development
- Lead, coach and develop Store Managers
- Build leadership capability through regular feedback and development planning
- Identify and grow talent across the region
✅ Store Operations & Compliance
- Ensure stores operate safely, legally and in line with company standards
- Maintain strong execution of operational processes and systems
- Manage risk, audit readiness and compliance requirements
✅ Customer Experience & Brand Standards
- Deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience across all stores
- Embed strong retail operating rhythms supporting service and presentation
- Drive improvements based on customer feedback and insights
✅ Performance Management
- Set clear expectations and hold leaders accountable for results
- Conduct store reviews and capability assessments
- Address underperformance and recognise high performance
✅ Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with cross-functional teams (People & Culture, Finance, Supply Chain)
- Contribute insights and support strategic initiatives across the business
What You’ll Bring
Skills & Capabilities
- Strong commercial acumen and multi-site leadership experience
- Proven ability to coach and develop high-performing teams
- Experience managing operational performance across multiple locations
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience
- Senior leadership experience within retail or a multi-site environment (ideally in hardware/trade)
- Track record of driving sales, margin, cost control and operational outcomes
- Experience leading Store Managers or equivalent leaders
- Exposure to compliance-driven environments including WHS and IR
