In this role, you’re more than a switchboard operator—you’re a critical connection point for the entire hospital.
As a Communications Operator, you help keep patients, visitors, staff, and emergency response teams connected 24/7. From answering incoming calls and paging announcements to responding to emergency alarms and urgent situations, your calm, professional presence helps keep hospital operations running safely and smoothly.

💼 What You’ll Do
Answer and route incoming and outgoing calls with professionalism and care
Monitor and respond to emergency alarms and hospital codes
Utilize overhead paging for hospital communication needs
Support staff, patients, and visitors during emergency situations
Operate switchboard and communication equipment efficiently
Maintain pager systems and coordinate urgent communications
Help ensure a safe and organized environment for staff and visitors

Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to handle emergency calls with professionalism and urgency
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, AMs, and PM shifts as needed
PBX, call center, or healthcare communication experience is a plus!
đź“‹ Minimum Requirement
High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
Previous customer service, PBX, or call center experience preferred
