Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for interviewing, training, and selecting employees for the department.
- Respond to and handle employee concerns in a timely and efficient manner.
- Recommend or take appropriate action when administering disciplinary processes in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Responsible for planning, supervising, and monitoring the work of the team members in assigned area(s).
- Responsible for monitoring legal compliance with federal, state and gaming laws.
- Weighs, counts, wraps and records slot drop according to procedure.
- Sorts, counts and records contents of table game drop boxes according to procedure.
- Verifies quantity against records.
- Transfers coin from hard count room to coin storage room.
- Prepares bank deposits of coin. Wraps bank purchases of coin.
- Responsible for general upkeep of hard and soft count room.
- Repairs and maintains count room equipment.
- Always presents oneself as a credit to the company and encourages others to do the same.
- Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience is required.
OTHER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Adding machine, computer terminal operation and currency counting machine skills required.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Prior money handling and coin room experience preferred (bank, casino, sales, etc.).
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to work flexible hours including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to maintain regular, predictable attendance according to schedule.
- Able to push, pull, carry, or lift up to 50lbs repetitively throughout the work day.
- The physical ability to stand and/or walk continuously for duration of shift.
- The physical ability to climb stairs, balance, bend/stoop, and kneel continuously.
- The physical ability to frequently crouch, push/pull, squat, and work above the shoulders with both arms.
- The physical ability to use both hands for continuous grasping.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing dust, loud noises, second hand smoke, and bright lights.
- Ability to safely operate motorized equipment.
