Position Overview:
This role is a newly created position at company headquarters due to company growth. The primary responsibilities are centered on the partnership between finance and the commercial team to provide sound analytical support for key decision making.

Responsibilities:
• Implement timely and accurate daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reporting packages to drive strong sales decision making in support of our US commercial team of 400+ employees
• Recommend and implement processes to streamline and continuously improve our current sales reporting/analytics to appropriately raise awareness and drive corrective actions
• Maintain accurate CRM system with timely responses to all requests
• Engage and lead ad hoc projects/analysis as needed
• Identify areas of improvement and develop a path to achieve
• Develop proper documentation of all processes
• Assist as needed on the variable compensation process for the commercial team
• Performs other duties as required.

Education and Experience:

Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree, Business Administration
• 3+ years related experience that includes business analysis/reporting

Desired Skills:
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth, performance and deadline driven environment
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, combined with strong business judgment
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a must (able to build models, utilize pivot tables, vlookup formulas, etc.)
• Must be able to present analysis to the sales leadership level in a clear and compelling manner to drive decision making
• Ability to manage own workload efficiently and prioritize objectives accordingly
• Looking for candidates with excellent interpersonal and communication skills; both written and verbal
• Experience with SFDC is preferred

Physical Requirements (if applicable):
• General office environment, may sit for long periods of time.
• May be expected to travel domestically and/or internationally <5%.

As a Sales Operations Analyst, you play a pivotal role in driving commercial excellence of the field sales team by delivering actionable insights and performance reporting that support Insulet’s growth strategy. This position is responsible for the reporting of key performance indicators that inform data-driven decisions across a variety of field analytics focus areas. These focus areas include analyzing sales performance and trends, generating and delivering actionable reports, addressing analytical questions for the field, and optimizing territory performance. Through continuous improvement, strong analytical capabilities, and cross-functional collaboration, you’ll be a critical enabler of Insulet’s commercial success, identifying opportunities and recommending improvements that align with company goals.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Field-Focused Analytics

  • Analyze sales performance and trends across assigned territories, districts, and regions to identify growth opportunities and gaps

  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis and answer data-related questions from the field, collaborating with operations and analytics teams as needed

  • Maintain dashboards and reporting that provide timely, actionable insights to field teams

Analyze and Report Commercial KPIs

  • Serve as a business partner to commercial stakeholders to report and analyze KPIs that reflect strategic objectives and field execution

  • Track, visualize, and communicate KPI performance through dashboards and presentations, using compelling, data-driven storytelling

  • Ensure consistent alignment of metrics with commercial priorities and company strategy

Drive Strategic Insights and Recommendations

  • Interpret field and customer data to identify high-impact opportunities and inefficiencies across geographies and segments

  • Generate insights that support strategic decisions related to targeting, provider trends

  • Translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations for sales leadership

Support Continuous Improvement

  • Promote data-driven decision-making through automation and self-service analytics tools

  • Contribute to building scalable processes and tools (e.g., Salesforce, Tableau) that empower field teams to access insights independently

  • Champion data quality, consistency, and efficiency in analytics reporting

Education and Experience

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, marketing, economics, IT, AND related

  • 2+ years of experience working in commercial analytics

  • Experience driving commercial/sales process improvement

  • Experience working with Salesforce.com and analytical tools, with advanced Excel skills Preferred experience with Tableau, Salesforce dashboards (Classic and/or Lightning), excel reports, workflows, validation rules, Process Builder, Visual Flow, and security configurations

Preferred:

  • 2+ years of experience working in commercial analytics in healthcare, life sciences, or commercial/sales operations

  • Expeirence in data storage, reporting, and analysis tools (Excel, Tableau, Salesforce) to analyze data and deliver insights that drive strategic decisions

Skills and Competencies

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and communicate KPIs, insights and related recommendations

  • Ability to provide business analytics that drive process improvement

  • Proactive problem-solver who anticipates execution issues in the field and collaborates cross-functionally to resolve them

  • Demonstrated ability to support data-driven decision-making through analysis and modeling

  • Effective cross-functional collaborator, working closely with sales leaders, operations teams, and data strategy groups

  • Flexible and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

  • Strong communication and visualization skills to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations

Physical Requirements

  • Travel requirements: Limited travel may be required, 3-4 times a year on average.

Additional Information:

Compensation & Benefits: For U.S.-based positions only, the annual base salary range for this role is $65,200.00 - $97,750.00 This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation.
