ASL/English Interpreter

The Utah State Office of Rehabilitation (USOR), a Division of the Department of Workforce Services (DWS), is seeking a motivated and highly skilled ASL/English Interpreter to join the Utah Interpreter Program in Taylorsville, Utah at the Division of Services of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DSDHH) office. Key responsibilities and day to day responsibilities of this position: Interprets between ASL and Spoken English users Maintains calendars; schedules and coordinates appointments Provides assistance and/or on-the-job training Develops and presents consumer awareness information and education material to consumers and other special interest groups Attends training and meetings as required Administers/conducts tests or examinations and/or evaluates results Mentors emerging, newly certified, and advanced level interpreters
