Overview

The HR Business Partner /Recruiter is responsible for the marketing recruiting, talent pipeline, recruiting and retention of Associates (Food & Beverage) in Cavalier Resort Hotels. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the development of effective recruiting plans to hire full-time quality Associates sufficient for the segment.
  • Work with hiring managers to understanding hiring needs and proactively manager requisitions.
  • Establish and execute a recruiting calendar based on business plans and include activity goals for each month. (outbound networking, talent pools, etc.)
  • Manage requisitions in the applicant tracking system ensuring all jobs are property presented in all marketing channels and remain at top of search criteria.
  • Understand the compensation and benefit plans for each position and monitor each associate’s meets projected compensation.
  • Create marketing recruiting calendar and meet activity goals for outbound recruiting.
  • Manage the end-to-end employment process for all (F&B) Associates.
    • Work with hiring manager and GM’s for profiles for each role.
    • Screen all qualified candidates against the job profile using (1) behavior-based interviewing tools, (2) video assessments, (3) references, (4) cognitive evaluations and job previews as applicable. Qualified Applicants must first meet “hospitality fit.”
    • Prepare offers and communicate expectations to the candidate.
    • Ensure that the new hire has a formal orientation, schedule, and tools needed for success over the first 10 days.
    • Ensure that new Associate completes all required training for the role by creating a check in at the 10-day mark, or earlier if needed.
    • Create 20-, 30- and 60-day check ins with each new hire.
    • Complete exit interviews on all {hotel} Associates. Review trends with hiring manager/GMs.
    • Work with the hiring managers and GMs at end of season to “top grade” Associates for year-round retention.
    • Ensure all involuntary terminations are documented and approved through a summary of investigation.
  • Work with the Hiring Manager(s) to ensure there are active reward and recognition programs to promote.
  • Elevate any Associate/Associates issues to the General Manager.
  • Elevate any formal charges and informal complaints of harassment and discrimination to Corporate HR.
  • Partner with the hiring managers to develop and promote Associate recognition programs. Be creative to ensure that programs stay fresh and consistent among all the properties. Participate in the organization of scheduled events for Associates. Closely monitor all recognition programs in place to ensure they remain effective.
  • Lead special projects and other responsibilities as assigned. Participate in task forces and committees as requested.

Qualifications

Type Qualification

Experience 3 plus years high volume recruiting (individual performance in excess of 20 hires per month)

Experience Experience in applicant tracking systems.

Skill Demonstrated networking skills, preferably through Linked in and the Hampton roads community.

Experience Experience in social media recruiting

Experience Strong time management and multi-tasking required.

Experience  Sales experience preferred.

Experience SHRM certification, a plus

Skill  Bilingual in Spanish
