We are searching for the best talent for a Director, Product Information Management (PIM) to join our Value Chain Management (VCM) team!
This hybrid position will be located in Titusville, New Jersey (USA). Alternate hybrid locations may be considered at other Innovative Medicine Supply Chain hubs such as Horsham, Pennsylvania (USA); Zug, Switzerland; Cork, Ireland; or Beerse, Belgium.
The Director, PIM owns the transformation of how product information and execution workflows operate across VCM by establishing and evolving a product-centric digital backbone. This backbone connects strategy, planning, execution, resiliency, reliability, and investment across the product lifecycle.
This leader advances PIM from system ownership to an enterprise capability that improves how work flows across functions. By embedding structure, governance, and trusted product data into digitized workflows, PIM enables teams across VCM and cross-functional partners to operate as one connected system.
The role serves as a change agent within Innovative Medicine and J&J, aligning execution around shared product context, clear workflows, and trusted data. The Director also leads the IMSC Quickbase platform and a team of digital product owners, scaling business-led digital transformation across the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and evolve PIM as a product-centric digital backbone across the value chain
Develop and coach a high-performing team of digital product owners
Redesign and digitize end-to-end workflows, clarifying ownership and dependencies
Define and implement the PIM strategy and roadmap aligned to VCM and enterprise priorities
Drive adoption so workflows become embedded in day-to-day execution
Establish data trust through clear ownership, quality standards, and transparency
Enable system integration and reuse to reduce duplication and manual work
Build positive relationships across Supply Chain, R&D, Finance, Quality, Regulatory, and VCM
Establish a scalable operating model (governance, training, support, lifecycle management)
Simplify fragmented processes into cohesive, product-centric flows
Serve as IMSC Quickbase Platform Owner, defining strategy, governance, and standards
Lead intake, prioritization, and value realization aligned to business priorities
Operate a center of excellence (CoE) to drive adoption, reuse, and standard methodologies
Partner with enterprise digital teams to align strategy and influence direction
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s/University or equivalent degree is required; advanced degree preferred
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Required:
Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience
Experience in Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and/or Program Leadership
Proven track record in business process transformation and workflow digitization
Systems-thinking outlook with focus on improving how work flows across teams
Significant experience working with data (i.e., ownership, source of truth, data quality)
Excellent communication and executive engagement skills, as well as strong cross-functional influence and stakeholder alignment skills
Ability to lead through ambiguity with accountability and delivery focus
Preferred:
Understanding of end-to-end value chain operations
Experience with Quickbase or low-code/no-code platforms (e.g., Power Platform, Power BI)
Experience delivering scalable digital solutions with high adoption
Experience leading digital products or platform-based capabilities
Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or regulated environments
People leadership experience
OTHER:
Requires proficiency in English (excellent written and verbal communication skills) to communicate effectively and professionally
Up to 15% domestic and international travel may be required
Requires the ability, through our flexible work policy, to work on-site a minimum of three days each week, with the option for two remote workdays each week
