Direct Care Worker

Location: Bucks County, PA

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Worker to provide support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health challenges, or other special needs in Bucks County, PA. The ideal candidate will help promote independence, dignity, and quality of life for those in our care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication reminders.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to promote social and recreational engagement.
• Implement individualized care plans and document progress accurately.
• Ensure a safe and clean living environment for clients.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established protocols.
• Support clients in community integration and participation in activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in direct care or related field preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, patient, and compassionate nature.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and required training.

Work Environment

This position involves working in residential homes, community settings, and occasionally outdoors. The role may require physical activity including lifting, standing, and assisting clients with mobility.
