Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Principal Engineer Electronics. This onsite position is in Oklahoma City, OK.
The Principal Engineer Electronics will be responsible for developing and executing the program.
Essential Functions:
- Performing and executing Statement of Work (SOW) as a Supplier/Subcontract Manger (SMT) Radar Avionics Subsystem(s)
- Responsibilities include the ability to manage the program requirements to ensure supplier compliance with program and AV design, test, document and Avionics Radar subsystems hardware requirements
- Document designs using detailed schematics, diagrams, and specifications
- Collaborate with Subcontract engineers and stakeholders to implement subsystem performance and environmental requirements.
- Work with subcontractors to develop design solutions for obsolete hardware.
- Travel up to 25%
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 3 years of related engineering experience.
- Experience with managing supplier, designing, configuring, and installing avionics subsystems
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP). This SAP must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline and 8 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline and 4 year of related engineering experience.
- Experience designing, configuring, and installing avionics subsystems
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP). This SAP must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
