Summary Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in the fabrication and assembly of fasteners; ensures workers are following safety guidelines; keeps production and expense (KPI’s); controls Preventative Maintenance Program; and utilizes the 80/20 toolbox and continuous improvements by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Studies production schedules and aligns worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
- Interprets and enforces company policies to workers. Understands, promotes, and enforces Safety policies and procedures.
- Communicates manpower needs and assist in onboarding full time and temporary employees.
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, processes, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems and assists workers in solving work problems.
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. Conducts Shop Talk addressing shift goals.
- Maintains time and production records.
- Understands and conducts quality inspection requirements to ensure Atlas standards are being achieved and adhered to.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises employees in the U.S. Plant. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints; resolving problems and running machines when needed. Plus continually works to improve Supervisory skills.

Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or two to three years related Supervisory experience and/or training; Maintenance experience a plus.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. HMI Interfacing to PLC experience a plus.
Other Skills, Qualifications and Abilities
Experience working in a manufacturing environment; enforcing Safety procedures; Mechanical ability; experience with hydraulics and pneumatics. Must be able to pass a driver's exam to operate a forklift along with the ability to be a forklift trainer. Lean Manufacturing training and/or experience preferred.
