Senior Formulation Scientist (Drug Product) - Eurofins CDMO Alphora, Inc.

We are seeking a highly skilled and independent Senior Formulation Chemist to lead formulation development activities within our Drug Product Operations team. In this role, you will take ownership of projects from early development through GMP manufacturing, playing a critical role in delivering high-quality oral dosage products.

You will drive formulation and process development, scale-up, and technology transfer, while also providing oversight of GMP production activities. As a senior team member, you will serve as a scientific leader—collaborating cross-functionally, supporting client engagements, and contributing to business development initiatives.

This is an ideal role for an experienced professional who combines deep technical expertise with leadership, problem-solving, and client-facing capabilities.

Key Highlights:

· Lead and independently execute formulation and drug product development activities

· Design and oversee formulation studies, process development, and GMP scale-up

· Provide oversight and technical leadership for GMP manufacturing operations

· Author and review protocols, batch records, SOPs, and technical reports

· Troubleshoot complex formulation and process challenges, driving continuous improvement

· Represent Drug Product Operations in client meetings and technical discussions

· Support Business Development with technical expertise

· Ensure full compliance with cGMP, GLP, SOPs, and safety standards

• Years of Experience: 6-10 years
• Education: min. BS or above in relevant Engineering or Science based field
• Systems: Excel, Word, statistics-based programs
• Soft Skills: strong written and communications skills – candidate will be client facing; strong Leadership skills/ability to manage junior formulators

The starting annual base compensation for this position is $90,000 CAD. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package plus benefits, will be determined by a number of factors which include but are not limited to the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
