We’re looking for a Data Management Analyst to play a key role in improving data governance, data quality, and master data management across Lloyd’s Register. This is an exciting opportunity for a data professional who is focused on ensuring data is trusted, transparent, and fit for purpose.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, data experts, and technology teams to establish and maintain data standards, improve data quality, and support the implementation of robust master data management practices. Your work will directly contribute to better decision-making, operational efficiency, and regulatory confidence across the organisation.

What we offer you

The chance to join an organization with a clear sense of purpose, guided by values and a commitment to making the world safer.

A full-time, permanent role within a global organisation that encourages continuous learning, professional development, and career growth.

The opportunity to support enterprise-wide data management practices and contribute to strategic transformation initiatives.

A collaborative environment where your experience will help shape how data is governed, managed, and leveraged across Lloyd’s Register.

The role

Data Definition & Metadata Management

Manage the process for maintaining Lloyd’s Register’s Business Glossary within Microsoft Purview, ensuring business terms and physical data elements are accurately defined and documented.

Develop and maintain the data definition process, working closely with Data Experts and Technology teams to source, validate, and manage metadata.

Ensure consistency and alignment between business definitions, system interfaces, reporting requirements, and analytics outputs.

Provide regular updates on progress, risks, and issues to Data Governance stakeholders.

Data Quality Management

Support and continuously improve Lloyd's Register's Data Quality Framework.

Define, implement, and monitor data quality rules and controls across critical business data domains.

Maintain the central inventory of data quality issues, engaging with data experts to identify, assess, and prioritise concerns.

Partner with business and technology teams to investigate root causes and coordinate remediation of significant data quality issues.

Develop and report meaningful data quality metrics, dashboards, and performance indicators for stakeholders and issue owners.

Master Data Management

Support the implementation and ongoing enhancement of Lloyd's Register's Master Data Management framework.

Play a key role in the Client Data programme, helping establish a trusted golden source of customer data, including workflows, approvals, governance controls, and operational processes.

Define client data requirements across consuming applications and collaborate with Salesforce and technology teams to implement effective data models.

Develop and implement data input controls, validation rules, and governance processes to improve data accuracy and consistency.

Define and maintain client data update, merge, and retirement processes.

Spot data quality gaps and improvement opportunities, and guide corrective actions and sustained enhancements.

Provide regular communication and reporting on progress and issues to Data Governance stakeholders.

What you bring

Experience working in Data Quality, Data Governance, Master Data Management, or related data management disciplines.

Solid understanding of data quality dimensions, controls, and monitoring techniques.

Knowledge of metadata management, business glossaries, and data definition practices.

Understanding of Master Data Management principles, governance models, and data lifecycle management.

Experience operating within complex, multi-system environments and managing data across multiple applications and processes.

Experience designing and implementing data quality metrics, controls, dashboards, and reporting frameworks.

Solid analytical skills with the ability to investigate data issues, identify trends, and assess business impacts.

Working knowledge of SQL and experience analysing datasets to support root cause investigations and data improvement initiatives.

Experience working with enterprise data management and governance tools, such as Microsoft Purview.

Experience working within regulated or risk-aware organisations would be beneficial.

What you’ll need to perform well

Effective stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across business and technology teams.

Effective communication skills, capable of translating complex data concepts into clear and actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.

The ability to work effectively in evolving environments, balancing strategic objectives with operational delivery.
