Director of Patient Experience

This position is responsible for oversight of the patient experience at the Life Center of Galax.

Director of Patient Experience Additional Job Duties/Addendum

· Serve as direct supervisor of all Patient Experience employees and Patient liaisons.

· Completion of constant searching for ways to improve the program and sites with oversight and implementation of any recommendations as approved by the CEO

· Ensure all program areas remain patient focused and serve as a resource for all departments on customer service and improving the patient experience

· Spend regular, considerable time on the treatment units of each campus to ensure policies are followed, practice is in the best interest of the program and all patients.

· Ensure all treatment units present well, and are clean and patient friendly.

· Liaise with all program departments and ensure patient friendly process flow in all areas

· Serve as the penultimate authority for all patient concerns, issues, and challenges.

· Work with all department areas to have ownership of improving the patient experience, increase length of stay, and improve patient retention.

· Develop and implement strategies to improve patient engagement and patient outcomes.

· Serve as a member of the program leadership team.

· Promote a “yes we can” attitude among all staff members in all departments

· Serve as a point of inspiration for all patients and staff.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

· Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

GALAX

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor's degree in human service field from an accredited college or university required.

· Five or more years’ experience in a behavioral health environment required.

· Previous supervisory experience required.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

· CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).

· First aid may be required based on state or facility.
