Job Description

Purpose

This position at the Infinity One Oklahoma Spaceport in Burns Flat, OK is assigned responsibilities related to the construction, maintenance, repair or upkeep of buildings, grounds and other state property. This may include assisting in the construction or renovation of buildings, general maintenance and upkeep of plumbing, heating, air conditioning, electrical and other systems, minor repairs to machinery or other equipment, and general maintenance of grounds or lawns.

Typical Functions

  • General Repairs: Perform routine maintenance tasks including minor plumbing (fixing leaks, unclogging drains), basic electrical work (replacing light fixtures, bulbs, switches), and carpentry (repairing doors, locks, drywall).

  • Facility Upkeep: Handle routine painting, patching, and touch-ups. Assemble, move, or repair furniture and fixtures as needed.

  • Grounds Maintenance: Ensure the exterior of the property is clean, safe, and presentable. This may include mowing, light landscaping, sweeping walkways, and seasonal tasks like snow removal or salting.

  • Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean and organized workshop/storage area. Ensure all work complies with local safety regulations and company policies.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in general maintenance, handyperson work, or a related trade (plumbing, electrical, carpentry).

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies

  • Proficiency with a wide variety of hand and power tools.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.

Requirements

Must have a valid driver’s license.
