Rothe is seeking an experienced Senior Platform Architect to support the Enterprise ServiceNow Platform and OCIO Strategy organization in support of the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract. eMITS is the Agency’s enterprise-level contract creating and delivering multimedia and technical communications NASA’s OCIO and Office of Communications (OCOMM). From photographing rocket launches and recoveries, producing NASA TV segments, to information technology management, to using social media to share NASA’s message, eMITS integrates services for NASA IT and provides NASA’s communication to the outside world. SALARY RANGE: $159,000 - $183,000
JOB LOCATION: Washington, DC (HQ) - Remote
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The ServiceNow Platform Architect/Strategist provides high‑level architectural guidance, governance leadership, strategic planning, and optimization support for the Enterprise ServiceNow Platform and OCIO Strategy organization. The role ensures the platform is scalable, cost‑optimized, well‑governed, and aligned with enterprise business priorities.
Functional Responsibilities:
- Evaluate current organizational structure and recommend a future‑state operating model separating governance from operations.
- Support implementation of new governance and operational structures.
- Analyze platform workflows and development processes to streamline, reduce redundancy, and increase throughput.
- Develop governance documentation, process standards, and prioritization frameworks.
- Serve as senior architectural authority for platform designs, ensuring scalability and adherence to OOTB best practices.
- Conduct license and subscription utilization audits; recommend cost‑optimization strategies.
- Design or refine platform charge‑back or cost‑sharing models.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to develop and maintain a long‑term platform roadmap.
Remote, hybrid, and onsite positions the employee bears travel costs to nearest NASA Center for badging and issue of NASA IT equipment.
EDUCATION:
Minimum education: BA/BS
Minimum experience: 10+ years of progressively increasing experience with ServiceNow IT architecture and enterprise platform strategy.
Minimum Requirements:
- Demonstrated expertise in governance design, process optimization, and technical oversight.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proven ability to lead enterprise‑level planning, road mapping, and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and facilitation skills.
- ServiceNow certifications. (CSA ,CIS-ITSM, etc.).
- ITIL certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong ITSM background.
