Sr. Manufacturing Project Engineer

OPPORTUNITY

For a project engineer with experience designing material handling & packaging solutions and providing consulting services to food processing clients throughout North America. Join an integrated team of architects, engineers and project managers and engage in challenging projects up to $500 million for many of the biggest brands in the industry. This key role will execute a broad set of engineering competencies, technical design knowledge and problem-solving skills as well as provide mentorship to others in an environment that values collaboration.

POSITION

Reports to the Manager of Manufacturing Engineering. Participates on design teams with emphasis on plant layout and material flow, food manufacturing and packaging equipment, and material handling and storage systems from concept to commissioning.  Work with senior team leaders on conceptual layouts, design studies and construction drawings and specifications.  Proactively interact with the multi-discipline teams and mentor junior engineers.  

CANDIDATE

• B.S. degree in manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, or related engineering field required; PE a plus
• 10+ years’ design and quality control experience in medium and/or high-speed packaging and material handling; food & beverage/pharmaceutical experience a plus
• AutoCAD proficiency required, Revit experience a plus
• Demonstrated success in blending strong technical skills with building excellent client and vendor relations
• Intelligent contributor: adds value, drives assignments to completion
