ABOUT THE ROLE
At W Edinburgh, we believe exceptional hospitality starts with our people. As our Employee Dining Chef, you will create fresh, exciting and nourishing food experiences for our talent, delivering a daily dining experience that energises and supports our teams.
This is more than a traditional staff dining role. You will own the day-to-day operation of Talent Dining, bringing creativity, consistency and personality into every service while maintaining the standards expected within a luxury lifestyle hotel.

As Employee Dining Chef, key aspects of your role will include (but are not limited to):
- Prepare and deliver daily meals for hotel talent to a consistently high standard
- Create rotating weekly menus with a focus on freshness, seasonality and variety
- Deliver balanced options that cater to different dietary requirements and preferences
- Manage ordering, stock rotation and minimise food waste
- Maintain excellent food hygiene, HACCP and allergen controls
- Keep the Talent Dining area clean, welcoming and engaging
- Support internal activations, celebrations and themed dining events
- Collaborate with the wider culinary team to maximise produce utilisation
Our ideal Employee Dining Chef is someone who has
- Previous kitchen experience in hotels, restaurants, contract catering or staff dining
- Passion for delivering quality food and creating positive experiences
- Ability to work independently and manage a daily food operation
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen standards
- Positive attitude and team-first mindset
