Founded in 1950, Central Indiana Orthopedics (CIO) is a premier, independent orthopedic practice in central Indiana that delivers compassionate and expert care to patients with bone, joint and muscle injuries and conditions. CIO has locations in Fishers, Anderson, Muncie, Marion and Zionsville, and proudly serves as team physicians for Anderson University as well as supporting several local high schools. Responsibilities

Position Summary

The X-Ray Technologist is responsible for preparing patients for radiological procedures, accurately positioning patients, and safely operating X-ray equipment. This role ensures patient comfort while maintaining strict adherence to radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and themselves. NEW GRADS WELCOME.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for radiological procedures by explaining the process, positioning patients correctly, and performing X-rays in accordance with established patient care and safety standards.
  • Operate and maintain X-ray equipment, ensuring proper functionality and reporting any malfunctions or concerns promptly to a supervisor.
  • Utilize and maintain radiation protection and shielding equipment to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Accurately document and enter radiological procedure data into the electronic health record (EHR) system in a timely manner.
  • Maintain examination rooms by ensuring cleanliness, proper stocking of supplies, and adherence to sterilization protocols for equipment and surfaces.
  • Monitor and evaluate imaging results to ensure quality and accuracy, following established guidelines.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and uphold privacy standards in all interactions and documentation.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain required certifications and professional affiliations.
  • Attend and actively participate in organizational meetings, trainings, and committees as required.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 


Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required; must be maintained in good standing.
  • Active and unrestricted Indiana State Radiologic Technologist license required.

 

 

USD $26.00/Hr. USD $30.00/Hr.

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
