A Michael Kors Sales Associate acts as a brand ambassador, providing elevated, "jet set" luxury customer service while meeting personal and store sales goals. Responsibilities include styling clients, utilizing digital tools for omnichannel sales, processing transactions, and maintaining visual merchandising standards.
Core Responsibilities
  • Sales & Clienteling: Drive store results by building lasting client relationships, maintaining a "client book," and advising customers on trends and styling.
  • Customer Experience: Greet shoppers and provide an energetic, personalized in-store experience.
  • Omnichannel Support: Utilize digital tools and available technology on the sales floor to enhance the buying experience.
  • Store Operations: Restock merchandise, process shipping and receiving, and maintain a neat, organized sales floor and stockroom.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience: Generally requires 2+ years of relevant retail or luxury sales experience.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, a team-oriented mindset, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attributes: A passionate, fashion-forward brand ambassador with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, and lift/carry up to 30 lbs.
Typical Working Conditions
  • Requires a flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and high-traffic retail periods (e.g., Black Friday, Mother's Day).
  • Compensation often includes a base hourly rate combined with commissions or bonuses tied to sales targets (especially at outlet locations).
